"This is a movie about a girl and a gun. The heroes of this story, a young man—confident, cool and bored—and a young woman—beautiful, cool, and bored—are, perhaps, in love with each other. They are dreamers, plagued by the monotony of modern life, caught between the desire for the elusive ideal, and the inescapable reality of life. These dreamers, though totally unfit for action, moved by an unaccountable impulse, act at times with a rapidity which they never had dreamed themselves capable.
