It's pretty fair to say that Boston has created the most consistently reliable, fast, highest-value transportation system since the wheel replaced the human dirt sled.
When the word finally gets out, it's not going to be only Brazilian single mothers riding the bus. No, when everyone else catches on, anyone making anything above minimum wage is also going pay over $1.50 for the privilege of riding a bus that's never significantly late more often than a half dozen times a day per route, driven by happy men and women who have maybe six months left before they end it all.
So join up and spread the love... because despite massively rising gas costs, the MBTA is still the system that only someone looking to not get somewhere when they'd like to be there could love.
