The logo at the right is from the UNESCO gateway page for IYL at http://tinyurl.com/yofvdf , where there are also other materials available.

We had 100 members by Jan. 1 and 1000 on Jan. 23, and peaked at almost 3000.

IYL was launched on International Mother Language Day, 21 Feb. 2008, and closed one year later. (There were Facebook "events" for both of these - see links at lower right )

There were several notable events and conferences during the IYL, links for many of which were posted on the group page (see below). A lot of information and links have also been collected at http://donosborn.org/iyl/ .
