ROSE AND ISABEL (2006) is a graphic novel set during the American Civil War. Letters from three brothers of the Callaghan family of Virginia (John, Jacob and Tobias) have stopped coming and the brothers are presumed to be missing. The two Callaghan sisters, Rose and Isabel, take it upon themselves to leave home in an attempt to find their brothers and bring them back safely. What results is not only a physical confrontation but one of ideals as the two sisters clash while attempting to come to terms with their family's violent history.

CORA (2009) catches up with the Callaghan sisters in 1888, twenty years after the conclusion of the story that began in ROSE AND ISABEL. Cora, the 18 year old daughter of Isabel Callaghan, struggles with the mystery of her estranged Aunt Rose at the end of the Wild West and imminent closing of the American frontier. (read less)
