- Okay. So we consider ourselves Malaysian. But really, the extent of our 'Malaysian-ness' covers the hippest joints of Bukit Ceylon, a touch of colloquial slang to pepper our imported ang-moh accents from our western education, and the fact that we can order Nasi Lemak in two or more languages.
There are things happening in our country that we may not WANT to be aware of. Demonstrations, petitions, ISA. So it's got nothing to do with you- or does it?
VotED is about being aware.
It is a group created to inform the public like you and us, who only refer to the term "party" when we talk about what we're doing on Friday nights.
It has been created with the sole purpose of delivering information regarding your different political choices and parties in an un-biased, un-boring fashion.
Stay tuned for more information as we bring it to you.
MEANWHILE....
As fast as you can - rush to your nearest post office, and register yourself as an eligible candidate to vote. It's easy, no fuss- and takes all of 10 minutes (depending on the queue and if the guy behind the counter hasn't gone for lunch).
And invite your friends. Everyone has a right to political agendas and information that are disseminated in an un-boring fashion.
And if your head is telling you your vote won't make a difference, then let your conscience speak up and know you're already making a change by being aware and making your presence known when you register....
Stay tuned for more on how to Exercise Your Right to decent information.
