- If you are thinking of selling anything on eBay, or know anyone who is, you will want to know about alarming changes that the new leadership has decided are necessary. For example:
- eBay has touted a decrease in listing fees, while its commission for items that sell will actually increase by 67%
- sellers will no longer be able to leave negative feedback for buyers who deserve it. Since eBay is also changing the time period for calculating feedback, all buyers will eventually rate 100% positive. This will leave sellers wide open to clever scammers who can take advantage of the gray areas surrounding official rules.
- seller feedback percentages will only be valid for the past 12 months. Say goodbye to reputations you've spent years building.
- if eBay suspects that a transaction *may* result in an "unsatisfied" buyer, Paypal may hold payment for up to 21 days and you are still required to ship the item.

Will this work? At first, I didn't think so, but as I think about it more and as eBay's stock plunges, I am starting to believe it could get the message across IF enough sellers participate fully. Buyers are equally welcome, as the loss of good sellers will ultimately affect them too.
