SERVICE AT WILLIAMS. GET INVOLVED!
The Lehman Council for Community Engagement serves as an umbrella organization under which all volunteer and service oriented groups on campus operate. In addition to sponsoring community service events throughout the year, the Lehman Council works to aid various groups on campus by encouraging students to volunteer and by providing logistical support (in the form of advertising, transportation, etc.).
Groups include: Habitat for Humanity, various tutoring groups at local schools, SSJ, Berkshire Food Project, Caretaker Farm, Berkshire Humane Society, Best Buddies, RSAN, REACH, Williamstown Rural Lands, Big Bro/Sisetc etc (see the site for list of all groups and important service announcements)

We believe in breaking down the barriers between campus and surrounding communities in the Berkshires to allow students and community members to learn from each other through equal partnerships, formed in solidarity toward a vision of social justice. Through this interaction with and integration into the Northern Berkshire Community, we hope to prepare students for a lifetime of involved citizenship, awareness and social responsibility, as they have the potential to enact great change in our local and global community.
