Vision. Awareness. Community.
The Vietnamese American Coalition is a non-profit student organization formed in 1993 by a group of UC Irvine students and alumni with socio-political concerns.
VAC aims to serve as a forum to explore what it means to be Vietnamese in America and to discuss and voice the issues pertaining to the Vietnamese American community, as well as to address social and political concerns relevant to Vietnam.
Through various fun, interactive and engaging meetings and activities, service projects, and community and social events, members are given opportunities to involve themselves in the community, build a social network, learn about their culture, and become politically active.
Our traditional projects and events include Little Saigon Cleanup, Shadow Day (a high school outreach program), Winter Retreat, the Vietnamese American Mentorship Program (VAMP), the Vietnamese American Student Conference (VASC), an end-of-the-year semi-formal Banquet, and more!
Come join the fun!
Plenty of intern opportunities!!!
