Girlspot is an organization for lesbian, bisexual, bicurious, transgender, transsexual, queer, genderqueer, and questioning women or female-identified persons and their friends and supporters. We hold a variety of social and political events and provide queer-related information and resources. Girlspot offers a welcoming and thriving social atmosphere and network for queer women on campus. As new developments this year, Girlspot co-hosted Hotspot with HBOMB and the Queer Students and Allies, a mixer and dance that attracted hundreds of college students. We began Women's Group, a weekly women's discussion group that focuses on queer-related issues. And we put on Ladies' Night Out, a hugely successful intercollegiate queer women's speed-dating event which we hope to make annual. (read less)
