Alianza's Mission Statement:
The purpose of Alianza, the largest Hispanic/Latino student organization at Northwestern University, is to unite and support its members to work towards the advancement of an empowered, productive, Hispanic/Latino presence at this institution. Alianza is a cultural, educational, and social programming body, which also serves as a vehicle for activism.

Alianza is the largest Latina/o interest organization on campus it formed at Northwestern University seventeen years ago, in 1989. Its purpose on campus was to improve conditions for Latinas/os and to offer students an opportunity to come together and work for the betterment of the Latino community at NU. This commitment resulted in a greater availability of resources for Latinas/os on campus and a greater interest in the Latina/o community and the advancement of the Latina/o community at NU.
