Description:: Women in Cinema was founded at the University of Southern California by USC Cinema-TV graduate Seema Naik in 2005. We are a student organization dedicated to celebrating and encouraging the presence of women in cinema.

WIC is comprised of film majors, minors, and enthusiasts alike. We aim to provide the USC campus with "Women in Cinema"-centered events such as lectures by successful Hollywood women, screenings of work by women and about women, and other enriching activities and events that will promote the presence of women in film. News:: WIC's Inaugural Event was a brilliant success!!

On Saturday, April 1st, Women in Cinema hosted a "Grey's Anatomy" screening at Norris Cinema Theatre. The evening was hosted by WIC Founder and 2005-2006 President Seema Naik along with USC Cinema-Television Professor Jennifer Holt.

Following the screening of an episode of "Grey's Anatomy," Dr. Holt moderated a Q&A with Editor Susan Vaill, a USC Cinema Alumna, speaking about the role of a female editor in a successful television series. A reception outside Norris finished off a great evening.

Thanks to all who came!! We were so happy to meet you all and kick off WIC with a bang!
