UPCOMING EVENTS

1. SWE Interest Meeting--Tues., August 25th, 7 pm @ Daniels rm 334
Come out to meet the new SWE officers and other girls in engineering, as
well as hear about our fall schedule over some free pizza. If you still
haven't gotten a SWE t-shirt this is a great chance, they are only $8. We
will also have a guest speaker from Centennial Campus Challenge to share
how SWE can get involved in this week-long engineering campout
competition!

2. Science Olympiad Volunteer Info Sessions--
Wed., August 26th, 9 pm; Thurs., August 27th, 8pm @ Peele Hall
As part of SWE outreach we try to help promote science among youth,
especially women. Currently there is a need for volunteers to help with
starting and maintaining Science Olympiad teams in local middle/high
schools. If you would be interested in going to a local middle school once
a week and helping future scientists and engineers prepare for fun science
events go to one of two informational sessions by an on-campus
organization called SMARTS to learn more.

3. Welcome Back Bash--Mon., September 1st, 5-8pm @ Oval on Centennial
For Centennial campus majors this E-Council event promises to be a lot of
fun. With free food, games, music and prizes it is a great chance to get
out and meet representatives from engineering student organizations (SWE
will be there) as well sponsoring companies that include AT&T, Cisco
Systems, and more!
