The mission of Engineers Without Borders TM - USA (EWB-USA) student chapter is to partner with disadvantaged communities to improve their quality of life through implementation of environmentally, equitable, and economically sustainable engineering projects, while developing internationally responsible engineering students.
In the local community, we have helped run engineering and science activities in Norman elementary public schools, refurbished a playground for the Cleveland County Youth and Family Center, and have contributed to the Habitat for Humanity.
In the international community, we played a role in the construction of a footbridge in La Ceiba, Honduras for a regional hospital in the summer of 2006, and in the summer of 2007, we brought a sustainable and reliable source of water to the center of a Guatemalan farming community of government relocated civil war refugees.
