University of Kentucky's Pre-Law Fraternity
First things first - You don't have to be a member to come to any of our meetings. They aren't just "our" meetings, they're your meetings too. So come to a meeting and if you like it we'll get you signed up!
We haven't been known to do very much either around campus or out in the community but that is all about to change drastically! Here are some of the things that we do already or are going to start to do this year:
We host an event called Law Day in the Fall each year, which brings over 20 Law Schools to campus so that you can ask them any question you want!
We try have a forum once a year in which we invite 2-3 1LS (1st Year law school students) to come and in an informal setting, answer any questions you may have about getting in to law school, how they got where they are, or what things we need to know before we get there.
We are going to try to have a panel of lawyers from around the area come in and do a forum type event where they answer questions about what they do and dispel myths about what a lawyer is or does.
There are quite a few more things that we are going to be doing, but the only way to find out about those and get involved is to come to one of our meetings.
If you ever have ANY questions please don't hesitate to email, facebook, or call me. I'm here for you all and I want to make sure that this group has a positive effect in your lives and also around campus.
Thanks, and I look forward to working with each of you!
