Fall Lake George - IOCA Event
Where: Turtle Island (on Lake George)
When: Sept 26-28
What: Hundreds of fellow Outing Club members from dozens of schools gather at Lake George to celebrate the outdoors, camp for the weekend, and participate in numerous outdoor adventures. The cost is $35 and it is well worth it for the feast they provide on Saturday night. Information has already been sent out about this, if there are any more questions please attend the meeting on the 17th. There will be carpools set up for the drive there and money needs to be turned in ASAP to reserve spots. You can also check out http://www.ioca.org/trips/ for more information.
Nor’easter
Where: Tenney Mountain in Plymouth, NH
When: Sept 26-28
What: This is a weekend-long festival of music, sport, and conservation. People camp out for part or the whole time, listen to great bands like State Radio (check them out at www.StateRadio.com, they are awesome), watch some world-class rock climbers like Chris Sharma, and get lessons in climbing from the pros (like Sharma). For more information check out the website http://www.noreasterems.com. It’s unfortunate that it’s the same weekend as Lake George because these will be the two best events of the quarter.
