The Associated Construction Students is a registered student organization of Ferris State University for the Construction Management program. All members are enrolled in the Construction Facilities and Management department as students. The goal of ACS is to promote professionalism, leadership skills, and ethics in becoming a professional candidate for employment in the ever changing construction industry. ACS was created in 1981 as an umbrella for the following 7 professional construction organizations:
A.G.C. Associated General Contractors---A.B.C. Associated Builders and Contractors---N.A.H.B. National Association of Home Builders---C.M.A.A. Construction Managers Association of America---A.S.P.E. American Society of Professional Estimators---M.A.P.A. Michigan Asphalt Paving Association---M.R.B.A. Michigan Road Builders Association
The Associated Construction Students welcomes all freshman and transfer students as well as fellow members.
As a member of ACS you are also a student member of the above listed professional organizations. As a student chapter of these organizations, ACS has the opportunity to build relationships with the industry, take part in conventions and attend professional meetings.
ACS holds meetings Bi-weekly meetings which are held on alternating Wednesdays and Thursdays of every month. Meetings are at 7:00pm in Granger 102.
