News:
Over the past 6 months the Morse Reading Room has seen a lot of changes. The primary change is that the room is no longer solely reserved for current issues of the journals we receive in print. It is also the new home for three other collections that were transferred there from other parts of library.
*Along the right-hand side of the ground floor you’ll find the Core Print Journal collection. The most current issues of over 200 core titles are shelved alphabetically. For details about the library’s migration from print to electronic journals, please see:
http://www.med.yale.edu/library/journals/2006migration.html
*The left-hand side and far wall of the ground floor contain the Historical Periodical collection, a collection of journals pertaining primarily to the history of medicine and science.
*The Biography and Collective Biography collections are shelved on the mezzanine according to a unique Yale classification system that gathers together biographies about a specific person. For instance, under the call number {biog C954} you will be able to find several biographies about Harvey Cushing, the renowned neurosurgeon and the library’s founding father.

We appreciate that these changes may require getting used to, so please do not hesitate to ask any staff member for assistance. Let us know what you think by responding via the comments section provided.
