Through the Edson Student Entrepreneur Initiative, students can apply for a year long program that provides up to $200,000 of seed funding per team, office space, and entrepreneurial guidance. The Initiative selects 10- 15 teams annually to help them develop their ideas for products, services and social good in the marketplace.
The scale of the Initiative, which provides a total of $200,000 a year in seed funding, places ASU in the forefront of American Universities that support student entrepreneurs. Only a handful of other universities offer ongoing programs of this magnitude.
Interested students can apply by submitting a new Venture Concept Proposal and Application by the designated deadline for each award year. Proposals are accepted from all ASU students regardless of academic level of discipline. In fact, multidisciplinary teams are highly encouraged. Creating this opportunity for all students is yet another aspect of the initiative that makes it unique.
