On 18 August James Chen was baptised into Christ at Cullorcoats bay by Goh Kim Hua who is on the same course at university as James. We welcome our new brother in Christ to our congregation
On 20 July Chelsea Lee was baptised into Christ at Cullorcoats bay. We welcome this new sister in Christ into the congregation. Chelsea is a student at one of the universities in the area.
On 27 June, Jessica Smith was baptised into Christ. We welcome this new sister in Christ into the congregation. Jessica is the daughter of Bruce and Fiona Bruce

It is now possible to embed videos from facebook on websites, so I have now embedded the Facebook version of the 2008 Kielder retreat on the church information website as that was the original. The one on Metacafe had to be edited to be under 10 minutes.
The church information website - Alternative web address

For a while the church information website has been split over two websites, but made to look like one. This was because the original hosting service, originally Freeserve, now Orange, was limited to only 15MB, yet that was the web address everyone has. This trick, for those in the know is performed by use of frame pages on the old site calling up pages on the other hosting service (WebNG) which has a 350MB limit.
Well now, because there is a minor possibility of loosing access to the Orange site I have created an alternative set of frame pages and related menu pages that work entirely on the webNG hosting service.
The URL for this is http://newcastlecoc.webng.com/ and there is a link to the conventional site everyone knows and the pure WebNG site. Both will work identically and seamlessly.
Also the URL is one that WebNG has allowed me to have, as it is fairly simple to remember, should we have to announce a complete change of our web site address. So please book mark that one as well and let me know of any problems encountered with the pure WebNG version of the church information website
Issues surrounding church videos

In recent weeks there has been some issue over the videos of church special events with Google Video and now here on Facebook. The issue appears to be about the background music used.
Now it should be pointed out that these films were not for commercial gain and any music used was fully accredited. YouTube has a policy where some rights holders allow the video to remain, but an advert is placed on the page, with advertising revenues split between the rights holder and YouTube.
The video missing from facebook, is from the 2006 Town Day, but it is available on the church information website in the special events section, and on the church account on www.metacafe.com (The account name is newcastlecoc)
Alternative Email Address

If attachments above a certain size get sent to the normal email address, then they do not download from the server in Windows Mail or Outlook. We now have an alternative church email address of newcastlecoc@googlemail.com Please use this address if you are sending any attachments.
