Facebook started out as a cute little site to keep track of one's social network and offered an alternative way of communicating between people in higher education institutions. And what has it turned into? A stalking device that reveals more information about us than we ever wanted to be revealed.

We have witnessed many different features being introduced since the beginning of facebook, but the newest invention of the facebook masterminds, the so called "news feed", is just too much. It invades our privacy far too much, and it should not be tolerated.

So we should take action now! Afterall, facebook is OUR site. Facebook is nothing without us, users. And if we don't like something, we should take action and not just sit and accept whatever they feed us.

Therefore, if you too agree that the new features (news feed and mini feed) are one step too far, then TAKE ACTION. It only takes 1 minute. Click on "help" in the top right corner and then on "suggestions". After that send them a message expressing your dissatisfaction about the recent changes to the page, or alternatively, copy-paste the following message:

"To whom it may concern,

as a regular facebook user I do not agree with the recent changes to the facebook web site, more precisely with the news feed and mini-feed features and with the general concept of tracking individuals' actions on facebook.

Therefore I demand that these features be removed immediately and permanently.
