News:
The lay downs were a huge success! But it hasn’t stopped there:

October 24th 2007, all 400,000 signatures were delivered along with over 100,000 signatures (by December 10th, there was a second delivery) collected by Amnesty International to the special envoy for Darfur as part of Amnesty’s Instant Karma campaign. Signatures included several musical artists from the Instant Karma CD as well as others. Exactly one week after the signatures were delivered Bush went in front of the UN and called for immediate action on Darfur.

We are now in the process of creating a way for anyone to have a lay down at their school. If you are interested in running it at your school you will be notified when its ready if you join the reps group: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2211809073.
Note: the hardest part about running it is that you have to find a way to print the pages and it can often be expensive so you will most likely have to fund raise. It can also take as significant amount of work so getting a club or group of friends together is recommended.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

For everyone that was or still is in this group:

I urge you not to forget what you stood for. Your face was not just a face on a piece of paper lying in an auditorium or a gymnasium. You were and are a marker that someone who has died from one of the greatest injustices ever know should not be forgotten and others should not be left to suffer their fate.

Do not forget what you stand for. Take pride and take action. This silent visual eulogy has had a great impact making hundreds of thousands of people aware of inhuman suffering in Darfur but it is time the silence is broken. Take action in any and every way you can. You are a student for Darfur and have the responsibility of making it known that you will not stand for more to die every day.

If you need any help feel free to message me,

Jeremy Riddell-Kaufman

P.S. for those who have recently joined the group, consider your face to be standing from one in addition to the 400,000, just as important as the others.
