Spout started with four guys who realized some of the best stories are lost beneath blockbusters, but they’re out there and people—someplace, somewhere—know about them. They believed that if they could make it easy for people to share movies they love with others, the playing field would level and meaningful stories would find their audience.

Today, there are a couple more of us, but the belief remains the same. We’re providing a place for film-lovers to share the films they love and people with the tools for meaningful discovery of films. Spout is also helping filmmakers to connect with their audience outside of the Hollywood marketing and distribution system.

For example, we teamed up with Susan & Arin (Four Eyed Monsters) to promote their film and help get them out of debt. To date, we’ve paid them over $48,000!
