Texans for Obama hosts Day of Service Event in Austin!
Help collect donations from our neighbors for Austinites in need. We'll utilize our Obama grassroots skills and distribute bags door-to-door and encourage supporters to fill them up with non-perishable food and toiletries. Once the bags are full, our supporters can deliver the bags to our booth at the MLK Celebration on January 19 or have them picked up. This national day of service event is generously sponsored by Austin City Council Members Mike Martinez and Lee Leffingwell. Free snacks and beverages provided.
Please RSVP Here: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=44073892318&ref=ts

Wondering what inspires Barack Obama? He wrote this to us, his supporters.
"I've seen what can happen when people who love their country come together and decide it's time for change. As a community organizer in the South Side of Chicago, I was part of a movement that turned around neighborhoods that others had given up on. I know what's possible for this country. I know we can build a new kind of politics that recognizes we're all connected as one people, that we rise or fall as one nation, and that we're ready to turn the page and start anew."
