News:
It has come to my attention that other Michael Chopra groups are about now and I'm cool with that, but lets all remember this was the 1st one - I think Facebook shouldn't let groups be started up when there are already ones on the same subject!!

And I've also seen Chops has a facebook profile if anyone can invite him to join this group they will be held in legend status forever!

13th July 2007:
CHOPRA SIGNS FOR SUNDERLAND
(From Sky Sports)
" Michael Chopra has signed a four-year contract with Sunderland after passing a medical.

The Premier League new boys have paid an undisclosed fee, believed to be £5million, to Cardiff City for the striker.

Sunderland's bid activated a clause in Chopra's contract and the deal represents a substantial profit for Cardiff, who paid Newcastle United £500,000 only 12 months ago.

Chopra scored 22 goals in the Championship last season and Dave Jones had been hoping to hang on to the forward."
