As most of you are aware, our beautiful youngest sister Mairead Costigan, died tragically in September 2007 (aged 30) as a direct result of taking both Stilnox (zolpidem) and Imovane (zopiclone). Mairead's case is about to go to the Coroner, and is likely to become the subject of a Coronial inquest.

The husband of family friends of ours, Jon Mark (aged 37) also died after a fall from his 12th floor apartment balcony, after taking Stilnox, in February 2007. The Coroner has ruled Jon's death an accident.

And yet another family we know lost their son, Peter Dickson (aged 24) two years ago, also as a direct result of Stilnox.

We are aware of at least eighteen other deaths in Australia resulting from these dangerous 'z drugs'.

If you have personally experienced an adverse reaction to Stilnox/Stilnoct/Ambien, Imovane or any other 'z class drugs', please call the Adverse Medicine Events Line on 1300 134 237. This hotline has already received well over 1000 complaints relating to these drugs (including 150 reports of sleepwalking; 44 involving sleep driving, 36 of sleep eating, 14 of sleep cooking, as well as reports of 14 deaths by accident or 'suicide', 26 cases of suicidal ideation or attempted suicides, 7 cases of psychotic behaviour and severe self-harm, and 4 cases of attempted murder).

Help us get these dangerous drugs off the market, before more lives are lost!
