05.10.09 - We are very very excited to announce our upcoming ‘Save Jess-tival', a fantastic night of music and comedy to honour our wonderful Jess and to encourage people to "think about it, talk about it and do something about it" (organ donation that is!)

Our headline acts are: stunning singer Natalie Imbruglia, and Canadian comedian Glenn Wool and Mock the Week favourite Ed Byrne, with more to announce later in the week.

This star-studded fundraiser will place on the evening of Friday October 16th at The Village Underground in Shoreditch, London. Doors open at 7.00pm.

Live Life Then Give Life’s remarkable start as a charity has been capped with a prestigious national award. The team walked away with “Campaigning Team of the Year” at the Charity Times Awards 2008.

In their citation, the judges stated: “This was an outstanding campaign made up of many effective and innovative strands and approaches, achieving great success.”

11/09/08 - On Saturday the 5th, LLTGL were invited to the British Organ Donor Society's (BODY) annual thanksgiving and remembrance service for donors and their families at Wimpole National Trust, where we were honored to have a tree dedicated to our charity. The service was a moving and humbling recognition of the selfless acts of organ donation that have saved countless numbers of lives.

Live Life Then Give Life continued to push the agenda on organ donation with a lunchtime lecture at the Department of Health on the 3rd. The team spoke with Chris Rudge, who is the new "Transplant Tsar" in charge of implementing the recommendations of the Organ Donor Taskforce report published last September.

We are very sad to announce that Sian, who set up this group and was desperately hoping for a life saving transplant, lost her fight in February this year. Sian's battle a fierce reminder of why this group is in existance and why more work MUST be done to raise awareness of organ donation.
