Aggies United is a group that promotes student unity between all Aggies from all backgrounds through philanthropy and social events. Our events are controversial free, excluding political and religious prompted initiatives. We believe that the relationships we build non-controversially are what facilitate communication that promotes true understanding and respect.
Projects that Aggies United perform!
Two years ago we traveled to New Orleans to help with the recovery efforts of the Lower Ninth Ward. We were confronted with broken and trashed homes that were devastated by Hurricane Katrina. This trip brought our diverse group of Aggies together for a neutral cause and built relationships that will last a lifetime, which created a very valuable social exchange.
This past December we traveled to Beaumont/Port Arthur, TX to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity. It was part of our H.I.R.E. (Hurricane Ike Relief Effort) Initiative. We helped rebuild two homes and bring back the love to the families of Port Arthur area.
Aggies United does events with retirement homes, Thanksgiving with the elderly, Big Event, Relay For Life and many more service activities. We are always looking for new ways to help our community in any way we can.
We are also a social organization and we like to have fun. We have BBQ's, super bowl parties, go ice skating, go camping, scavenger hunts and many more exciting and interactive activities.
We are always looking for new members. If you are interested at all you can facebook message us or call me at 940-391-7933.
Thanks and Gig'em
