Salam everyone! :)
Ramadan Kareem!
I had wanted for us to have Iftar together before the end of Ramadan, but I don't think it'll be possible to plan one in time. However, SU is hosting a Ramadan Dinner in the Commons Bistro on Tuesday, September 22, from 4:30-7:30 so all should come! There is a fee but as members of MSA it would be best if we should up to a dinner for us. :) Also, for Eid al Fitr I was thinking anyone interested can give me their name and we will have a secret exchanging of gifts that will be given out during the dinner. The gifts do not have to be expensive- anything above $5 but no more than $15 would be nice.
Besides that, I think that while we may not be able to break our fasts together during Ramadan, we can still have dinners together at various restaraunts across town throughout the year as well. During the interest meeting, we came up with some other ideas such as watching movies or doing other activities together such as bowling but more ideas are more than welcome! So please email me at tondturtle@yahoo.com if you have any questions or ideas!
Thanks,
Sara
