- A safe place to hear a dangerous message...
Cru at AU is a group of people who are seeking to understand the message of Jesus Christ as best as we can. We are currently hosting two small group discussions on campus on Monday and Tuesday evenings that are absolutely open for anyone to come to.
The discussions only gets better the more opinions we have in the mix, so look over our "ground rules" and invite the friend you think would mix it up the most. Rather than doing a pre-packaged discussion or study, we're going to try a basic 6-question format that will allow the conversation more freedom to go where you take it.
1) Honesty and respect are a must. We want to be a safe group that invites participation and learns from people of all perspectives, not a self-affirming Christian bubble. Enough said.
2) Questions are a good thing. While we do believe every question has an answer, we don't know many of them and that's ok. God does not usually resolve.
3) The Bible is worth investigation. Most nights, we'll admittedly be assuming its trustworthiness as a text. If you're not sold on that, we understand that can take time, but we probably won't be able to go there most nights in group. For a short article that sums up how many of us have gotten there, check out http://www.everystudent.com/features/bible.html#1.
