Darwin's Beagles is a group of undergraduate, graduate, post doctoral students, and faculty who regard evolution as scientific fact, and although there may be competing theories as to how evolution takes place, it is the assertion of this group that biological evolution is responsible for creating the "endless forms most beautiful and wonderful" seen in life on earth, both extinct and extant.

While science does not make any claim to morality and may not conflict with all spiritual/religious beliefs, Darwin's Beagles holds that intelligent design and Biblical creationism do not have any empirical or scientific basis for support, and thus are not supported as "evolution substitutes" by this group.
