Join ACS as we VISIT THE SCOTUS, hear Oral Arguments, and meet JUSTICE BREYER.

The UVA Law School chapter of the American Constitution Society invites you to join us for our second annual visit to the Supreme Court of the United States!

This year we are visiting the Court as guests of Justice Stephen Breyer – the Justice who spoke for many concerned progressives last term when he said from the bench, "It is not often in the law that so few have so quickly changed so much." We'll be hearing oral arguments in one or two cases, then having an audience with Justice Breyer afterwards.

Before the trip, ACS will host a reception and briefing from an expert faculty-member on the subject[s] of the arguments we'll be hearing.

The trip is tentatively set for Tuesday, February 19th with an alternate date of Wednesday, Feb. 20th. To sign up, stop by our tables in Hunton & Williams Hall (i.e. the hall by Scott Commons) or e-mail Derek Hamilton or Jared Kaprove with "2008 SCOTUS Trip," your name, and 1L/2L/3L status in the subject line. Space is limited to 50 members, so attendees will be chosen randomly from among the students who sign up. We do ask that if you plan on going, you join the national ACS as a student member. Go to www.acslaw.org/join to join.
