News:
Here is a brief timeline of what we will be focusing on from now until November 4th:

Now – Oct. 6th: Voter Registration
Oct. 7th – Oct. 31st: Voter Education
Nov. 1st – Nov. 4th: Get Out The Vote (GOTV)

Since we are currently in the Voter Registration phase, our number one priority is to ensure that every student on campus is registered by Oct. 6th. In order to do this in the most efficient manner, we will have to contact students through multiple avenues:

1) On-Campus Housing
2) Off-Campus Housing
3) Academic and Organizational Outreach
4) On-Campus Visibility

You may have already seen volunteers from the Obama campaign registering voters near The Fence in the past week, but our focus right now is recruiting Dorm Captains for each residence hall on campus.

What is a Dorm Captain?

1. Register all residents in dorm
2. Recruit new volunteers
3. Distribute Obama gear to supporters
4. Organize events within dorm (i.e. phone banking, postering, fundraising)

If you're interested in serving as a Dorm Captain for your residence hall, please send an e-mail to Christine Lin (cvl@andrew.cmu.edu)
