Invst CommunityStudies We are still looking for CU Students to help with our Public Achievement Program. For those looking for an opportunity to empower youth to make a difference in the Boulder-Lafayette community, this opportunity is for you! Become a Public Achievement Coach today!

Public Achievement Coaches receive academic credit for INV...S 2909 and an Americorps Education Award! Public Achievement is a youth civic engagement initiative focused on citizenship, democracy and public work through developing community based projects.

Those interested need to be available Fall 2009 on Thursdays 3-4:30p on the CU Campus for class as well as one of the following times (travel time to Centaurus HS in Lafayette included in times below):

INVS 2909 RENEWING DEMOCRACY IN COMMUNITIES AND SCHOOLS. (3 credits) Recommended prereqs., INVST CLP courses or INVST Community Studies electives. May be repeated up to 6 total credit hours. Taught by Elaina Verveer on Thursdays from 3-4:30 pm in KTCH 119.

Karen Spread the word!! SORCE is hiring for two positions, the Events Coordinator and Inner-Campus Liaison!! The job descriptions can be found on our website along with the application.




* The position will start the Fall 2009 semester.



* Each position requires students to be members of UCSU (full fee paying students).



* The r...equired number of hours a week is 15-20hrs.



* Starting pay is $10.92 an hour.



* We require a 2.0 GPA.



* You must have an interest in and have worked with underrepresented communities.

The application process is easy! Just go to our website at www.colorado.edu/SORCE. Click on the job application icon in the lower left corner on the home page. Download the application, fill it out, and print it out. The last step is just to bring it by the SORCE staff offices (UMC 227) no later than April 9th 5:00pm.
