Following a legal challenge, the Boundary Committee has published further proposals for the future of local government in Devon.
The proposals are:
- a single unitary authority covering the whole of the county, except Plymouth and Torbay
or
- a unitary authority covering Exeter and Exmouth and the surrounding area; and a separate unitary authority covering the remainder of the county, except Plymouth and Torbay
