There are now 4 of us, I think!
This page was started by me, a bloke called Stephen who fancied a challenge, so decided to run 26.2 miles from Everest Base Camp at 5356m (17,149 feet) to Namche Bazaar at 3446m (11,300 feet)
The actual run takes place May 29th 2008 and their website is
http://www.everestmarathon.com
So far a good mate called Barry has said he’ll run, (see further news below) which is great coz Barry is a real Iron Man.
Stephen on the other hand started 2 to 3 stone over his ideal weight.
So any support, shared experience or advise would be welcome.
The next runner to join us is the very lovely Jodie Symington.
She can tell you why, but I'm really pleased she's coming.
We are running in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
As you can see from Jodie’s message below we have good reason to do so, but the CF trust is also an excellent charity, which is working hard to find a cure for CF, and whilst it works its way through this mammoth task it also helps out in practical ways for individuals and families around the UK affected by Cystic Fibrosis.
More announcements to come but the most important is that we have a “justgiving” page so you can sponsor our aches and pains and contribute to the great work of the CFT. Even the government gives back your hard earned taxes to the CF Trust too!!
Go on sponsor us now before you forget!
