We are starting to build our membership and are making a few changes in order to curtail 'lurking'. Many of the members post personal information and photos to the board and feel uneasy about people who aren't contributing to the board seeing this.
So, after a board vote, and lots of thought about it, I have come up with the following Policy to deal with Inactive Users.
INACTIVE USERS
Once a person signs up, she must post within one week. Then, to keep her membership active, she must not go longer than 2 months before posting. If for any reason she wants an extension on that, she may contact me at spiritia@shaw.ca If the user does not post within a week or goes longer than 2 months since her last post, her account will be deleted and will need to reapply.
MEMBERSHIP
I am also setting the board so that administrators will need to approve all new memberships. Each member who registers will have their account activated by an administrator. This is usually done within 24 hours. (Usually sooner).
