This is the facebook group for members of the Adventist Society of Religious Studies.

This group is intended to provide a way for ASRS members to both show affiliation to and network with fellow ASRS members on facebook.

History: The Adventist Society of Religious Studies was founded in 1979 and is a scholastic community whose purpose is “to provide intellectual and social fellowship among its members and encourage scholarly pursuits in all religious studies disciplines, particularly with reference to the Seventh-day Adventist tradition."

IMAGE: The figurehead of this group is J.N.Andrews for whom ASRS was originally named and who is considered by many to be the first Adventist religion scholar.

MEMBERSHIP: Any and all are invited to join this facebook group. We encourage you all to become members of ASRS proper. This is done by contacting the secretary of ASRS, Ernie Furness who works at the SECC.
