- Description:
- Now that CityTV has been sold and will (eventually) be moving, our beloved, iconic truck bursting out of the east side of 299 Queen St. W is slated to be moved, or worse yet, simply removed and lost to icon oblivion. Personally, I think that would be a terrible loss.
From what everyone is hearing, it is supposed to come down on the 3rd it's possible that enough people speaking up about how much this thing means to them could see to it that we don't lose such a great Toronto landmark.

- Yeow! I was NOT expecting this to get this big.
Honestly it's nice that so many people enjoy the same thing I do. I hope that people can remember, for me this isn't about CTV or Rogers, it's about preserving what I consider to be an art installation for the whole city to enjoy.
With that said, I understand the Impermanence of things, we live in a corporate world, and everything changes. Change can make things better, and happens all the time, nothing stays the same forever.
My goal with this is just to try to preserve something that seems is pretty special to this city. Maybe there is a situation that can be beneficial for all, and there is the definite possibility that is what is slated to happen already.
WOW! This just keeps growing, as of just after midnight on Monday, we are about 420 strong.
As of Monday evening, we're a little shy of 350 souls, people have asked me WHEN any of this is going down, and honestly folks, I have no answers. I work in the building, and I have no idea, like the rest of you I have heard that it's slated for tomorrow, but I can't confirm that... sorry.
I thought it was coming down eventually, and heard from friends OUTSIDE of work that it was happening Tuesday, so the possibility that information could be off is present.
Oh my stars and garters! We have positively EXPLODED to 155 members in about 24 hours, that's pretty impressive my most measures I'd say.
The problem is this, the truck is slated to come down on tuesday and it looks like that's not going to change. I am NOT telling people to come down to protest or do anything rash, I'm suggesting that if we have a group of people who can speak up, maybe something CAN happen?
Or at least you get to say you were there when it came down.
But that's just one guy's opinion
