***CANDLELIGHT VIGIL***
The COP Women's Arm will be holding a candle light vigil from 6.00pm to midnight at Woodford Square to pray for the families who have lost their children at the hands of criminals in our society, and for children who are still missing.
This is an invitation to all who wish to make a statement in prayer to join us on Friday night at Woodford square.

***COP SEA AWARDEES FUNDRAISING VENTURE***
In 2007, Councillor Rosanna Sookdeo initiated a project, on behalf of the COP, to present awards to the most successful SEA students in the St. Augustine area. This was a great success.
Following on this event, the COP held a similar function last year. The ceremony in 2008 was even bigger since it celebrated the successes of the top 200 SEA students and the top 200 CAPE students.
This year, the COP plans to host a similar function for the top 200 SEA students and the top 200 CAPE students.
In order to make this venture a success, we are holding a pre-Father’s Day fund-raising lunch on Friday 19th June 2009 (Labour Day) at Valpark Chinese Restaurant. The contribution per person is $200.00. Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Take-away is also available.
We are therefore asking for your assistance in buying and/or selling tickets for this lunch. In this regard, please contact Annie at 640 3942, Asha at 680 8782, Rosanna at 681 7449, or Jenny at 662 2062.
