HUV News:

May 2009

• Jonathan Kaye and Willard Schoch are officially named the two Secondary Incorporates.

• Incorporation Documents mailed in to the state. Awaiting confirmation letter that the Non-Profit is on file.

• Jonathan Kaye, Willard Schoch and I all meet in Newport Rhode Island at the Cookhouse for an introduction.

• Sara Alloy confirms she will be volunteering her time to provide grant writing services for The HUV Project.

• Kolin Bernard has also confirmed he will be volunteering and helping out with grant searches, event planning and fundrasing.

• Private contractor has specified that his company would like to be involved in the mass-production of the HUVs.

June 2009
Meetings with potential investors brings about a lot good idea and new direction for the organization.

Stephen attends a beneficial seminar at the Foundation Center Seminar provided a wealth of new knowledge regarding new non profits and how to run the board of directors. Fundraising tactics were also discussed.

July 2009

Receive the consent of the NY State Department of Education for the incorporation of The HUV Project, Inc.

Ramp Magazine contacts Stephen to publish an article on The HUV Project.

University of Michigan contacts Stephen to publish an article in the UofM Alumni Magazine.

Blanca Martinez becomes the newest volunteer for The HUV Project.

Stephen meets with Justin Farrow of Home Free organization. The meeting was productive and Stephen and Justin have decided they would like to throw events together in the near future and share contacts/ideas with one another.

August 2009
Incorporation documents revised and re-submitted back to department of State with the new consent of the NYS Department of Education.

September 2009

• Camille Rinato, Chief Volunteer Editor with Make-A-Wish Foundation, signs on to be the had Grant Writer for The HUV Project.

• Michelle Pettenato & Kaitlin Weldon sign on to be the first HUV Interns!

• Stephen heads down to Long Branch Concordance to meet Lisa Wilson, the Executive Director. A lot of great progress was made throughout the day and there are now plans in place to work together throughout the course of the next few months.

• Jennifer Swan signs on as a full-time Intern to The HUV Project, through Long Branch Concordance.

October 2009

• John Kargul announces he will be handling the development of the future organization website (thehuvproject.org)

• The HUV Project is Incorporated with the state of New York.

November 2009

• Ruth Lapin signs on to The HUV Project as Head Event Planner.

• The new HUV Project website is launched and will be fully developed by Christmas.

• Business accounts with Chase Bank and Paypal are opened.

December

• Celebrity figures Jen Marden & Matt Wayne express interest in getting involved, especially in the areas of Public Relations and coordinating future HUV events.
