On the 27th July 2009, the South African Human Rights Commission submitted its brief on this matter to ProBono.Org. to take up legal action on this case. Another meeting was held on 25th August 2009 to discuss finer details on who would represent the SAHRC in court proceedings. It was decided that Commissioner Pregs Govender is best suited to do so.

Ms. Geldenhuys from ProBono.Org. sent an e-mail to the SAHRC indicating that Adv Fayeeza Kathree-Setiloane from Werksmans Attorneys is interested in taking on this matter. The SAHRC will meet with her at her office on the 17th September 2009 to iron out the details.
