The Calusa Group of the Sierra Club includes people from a five county area in Southwest Florida: Lee, Charlotte, Collier, Hendry and Glades. We currently have over 1000 members in the southwest Florida area. The Calusa Group takes its name from the Calusa Indians, who are now extinct. The Calusa Indians lived and thrived along the coast of Southwest Florida. They thrived through living in harmony with our Southwest Florida environment
