£40,000 will pay for two magnificent, radio-spec studios kitted out as commercially running radio stations are today which will last up to 20 years with the continued attention of our volunteers.
This will give any student the opportunity to develop their skills on equipment as if in the media industry, including:
-DJ'ing
-Presenting
-Production techniques
-Engineering

As well as these, students at RamAir will have the same great time as our current members do already: meeting great friends, having great times and playing great music!

Included in the RamAid budget are the two studios-worth of radio furniture, computer and electrical equipment and installation of equipment connecting RamAir to the new venues being built as part of the Communal Building refurbishment. The RamAir complex itself is being refurbished with new sound-deadening walls, super-quiet air conditioning and windows into the new studios giving a view from the new Communal Building atrium area (building works are part of the whole Communal Building refurbishment).
