The University of Waterloo Music Club is a club that allows students to learn to play an instrument for FREE. You can either bring your own instrument, or borrow from a friend! The university also provides piano rooms to sign out in the SLC. Lessons are totally free to all students.
The UW Music Club allows members to get in contact with a teacher to set up a convenient day and time for lessons. Lesson times and frequency are very flexible and the students and teachers decide all lesson times, dates and locations together.
Teachers are other UW students who have a passion for music and who want to share their talents with others by voulunteering their time to teach for free.
Although there are no membership fees, The UW Music Club is working to raise money for charity through concerts, donations, and other activities. Donations of any size are welcomed but are not mandatory.
We are always accepting new members and are currently looking for teachers for any and all instruments.
If you are interested in getting involved, our meetings are held weekly on Wednesdays at 5:30PM in RCH 307. You can also email us at musicuw@gmail.com with any questions.
