De-versify is an online community of people who are exploring the Bible "de-versified." They're using The Books of The Bible, from the International Bible Society. IBS created this edition to make reading the Scriptures more enjoyable and meaningful.
In The Books of The Bible:
- There are no chapter and verse numbers (only a range at the bottom of the page).
- There are no section headings, and translators' notes are at the end of each book.
- Individual books are presented according to their natural literary divisions.
- Books that were divided up are put back together (example: Luke-Acts).
- The books are in new order, based on when and how they were written.
- A single-column setting clearly and naturally presents different literary forms.

"People do not always . . . realize how natural and easy reading whole books of the Bible can be. . . . [R]eading the Bible in little snippets . . . is a second-order activity; the primary activity ought to be reading the Bible in large chunks, to get its full flavour and thrust." N.T. Wright, Following Jesus: Biblical Reflections on Discipleship (Grand Rapids: Eerdmans, 1997), x-xi.
