The International Engineering Student Society (IESS) is a faculty-based society aimed at broadening the outlook and respect for cultural diversity in engineering.
Our aims & objectives (IESS Constitution) are to:
¤ represent all international engineering students in all matters arising in the University
¤ promote and secure the interests and welfare of engineering students of the University generally and international engineering students in particular
¤ promote and serve the interests of international engineering students particularly in relation to their education and training (whether academic, practical, or otherwise) in Australia
¤ act as a bridge between international engineering students and the academic bodies
¤ foster a common bond amongst its members as well as amongst all international students in the University
¤ assist its members in successfully integrating into the engineering students' community
¤ work towards the goal of better goodwill between international students and Australian students
¤ implement any such activities as deemed conducive to any of the objectives aforementioned
Besides organizing social activities and events, we have also developed a mentor scheme to provide network support to international engineering students.
