Hi, my name is Joey Ayoub and I created this group as an attempt to silence all the false claims made by the Chinese Government. This is NOT an anti-Chinese group, in fact the more Chinese join the better it will be. It is very important that we start creating discussions between both sides and hear both sides.. I'm sure we who support the Dalai Lama know that to support him means to agree with his teachings at the least.. So absolutely no violence and insults are allowed please.. Same goes for those who support the Chinese government.. We will create wise dialogues and hope for the best.. The main goal of this group is to raise Awareness before anything else.
This is what you are being told (those who live in China and read Chinese newspaper etc.)
-The Dalai Lama Is "a wolf in a monk's robe", "a monster with a human face", "a devil in disguise", "a fake Gandhi" etc. (all quotes from Chinese Officials)
-The Dalai Lama organised the violent protest against the Chinese in Tibet
-The Dalai Lama seeks independance from China and wants to destroy Chinese Identity in Tibet
------------------------------
- Quotes From Tibet's (Not the exiled one) Communist Party chief,
Zhang Qingli:
"We are now engaged in a fierce blood-and-fire battle with the Dalai clique, a life-and-death battle between us and the enemy,"
"A wolf in a monk's robe, a monster with a human face but the heart of a beast."
In an interview with the official New China News Agency, he noted what he suggested was China's success in bringing progress and prosperity to once-backward Tibet and called the Communist Party "the real living Buddha of the people."
-------------------------------
- Youtube was blocked in China because videos of horrors commited by the police against Tibetans were posted everywhere. Of course, the only videos shown in China was the ones showing the Tibetan youth fighting back very violently (Which we do not support nor encourage but undertand it)
- Google China and Yahoo China agreed to censure any websites related to H.H The Dalai Lama and the Free Tibet movement.
- All websites in China are being controlled by a Government-Aproved filter.. In other words, Any information that may put the image and name of the government in jeopardy gets directly banned in China.
- Books by H.H The Dalai Lama such as "The Art of Happiness", "The Compassionate Life", "Opening the Eye of New Awareness", "An Open Heart", "The Heart of Compassion: A Practical Approach to a Meaningful Life", "The Universe in a Single Atom: The Convergence of Science and Spirituality", "Ancient Wisdom, Modern World: Ethics for the new millenium" and "How to See Yourself As You Really Are" ARE BANNED IN CHINA.
No good reasons could be found to ban such books.
This is serious, Lies can not keep on enduring if we wish to live in an open minded and free world.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
"I wish to express my solidarity with the people of Tibet during this critical time in their history. To my dear friend His Holiness the Dalai Lama, let me say: I stand with you. You define non-violence and compassion and goodness. I was in an Easter retreat when the recent tragic events unfolded in Tibet. I learned that China has stated you caused violence. Clearly China does not know you, but they should. I call on China's government to know His Holiness the Dalai Lama, as so many have come to know, during these long decades years in exile. Listen to His Holiness' pleas for restraint and calm and no further violence against this civilian population of monastics and lay people."
- Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu

“I request those of you who have asked me to stay away from the Olympic Torch Relay to understand that when I do run with the torch on the 17th of April, it is not in support of China. In fact, it will be with a prayer in my heart for the people of Tibet, and indeed for all people across the world who are victims of human rights violations”
- Aamir Khan
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
Do NOT be fooled by the false image of The Dalai Lama portrayed in China. The Dalai Lama has agreed with all the conditions China gave in order to start the dialogue and the only excuse China has now is this "We will start having peaceful dialogues with the Dalai Lama once he stops seeking independance for Tibet"
Do you see the reason here? "Once he stops seeking independance for Tibet"
Something which he has done for a long time now.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
“It is ironic that one of the people in charge of organizing the Olympic Games is the head of the Bureau of Public Security, which is responsible for so many human rights violations. It is very serious that the official promises are not being kept before the games.”
- Hu Jia, Chinese Human Rights Activist
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■
We do not want Independance, We want complete dialogue with China, we want peace, freedom and compassion to remain within all parts of China equally which is not the case.
--------------
the boy recognized by His Holiness the Dalai Lama as one of Tibet's most important religious leaders. He is known as the Panchen Lama and is one of the young victims of China's brutal repression of the Tibetan people.
Determined to control religion in Tibet, the Chinese authorities kidnapped this young boy and his family in 1995 just days after he was recognized as the Panchen Lama. He is growing up under house arrest. Despite repeated appeals to gain access to him, no international agency or human rights organization has been granted contact with the young Panchen Lama or His family.
But the story is not over.
Suspicions that he had been kidnapped were confirmed in 1996, when the Chinese government admitted to holding the boy and his family in "protective custody."
After repeated attempts to locate and visit the boy, not one international agency or human rights organization has been allowed to meet with the Panchen Lama or his family, and their condition remains uncertain.
Furthermore, in an attempt to establish their pre-eminence in all "internal affairs" of China, political or otherwise, the Atheistic Chinese government nominated and selected their own 11th Panchen Lama in November 1995. Their selection, a six year-old boy named Gyaltsen Norbu, is another young victim in China's plan to undermine and control the Tibetan people, their religion, and their nation.
What you are NOT being told:
According to Tibetan Tradition, The Dalai Lama is the only one who can recognize the new Panchen Lama and in return, the Panchen Lama is the only one who can recognize the new Dalai Lama.. So China is waiting for H.H The XIVth Dalai Lama to die so that the Panchen Lama that they have chosen could elect a new Chinese-Approved Dalai Lama. Needless to say that such medieval method won't succeed.
This is NOT Freedom Of Religion contrary to what you are being told. There is only freedom of Religion as long as it doesn't affect the totalitarian regime of China. We are not Against China, we're pro-Human Rights.. The Chinese Government is abusing Human Rights.. Hence we are against the Chinese Government.
There are many many protests against the Chinese Government throughout the world. Against it's oppression in Tibet, against it's fur trade, against its involvement in the Darfur Genocide, Against it's connection with the Burmese Junta etc.
Most of the propaganda comments made by Chinese/Residents Of China on Facebook alone are the following:
"The Dalai Lama doesn't really care about his people"
"China is the reason Tibet is free"
"The Dalai Lama agreed to give Tibet to China in the past"
"Anti-Chinese Government) are a minority"
The Dalai Lama has always cared about his country as he cares about the whole world. He is a humble monk, peaceful, selfless, without ego, happy, compassionate, loving, honest and modest. And I'm not exagerating at all. Every Tibetan consider him the soul of Tibet, every Buddhist consider him one of the greatest spiritual masters and Anyone who has taken the time to know him consider him one of the greatest and most compassionate person alive today. And again, I'm not exagerating at all.
---------------------------------
+ In April 1999, 10,000 Falun Gong practitioners silently appealed at the Chinese Communist Party headquarters at Zhongnanhai against recent beatings and arrest in Tianjin. Two months later, the Chinese government began a large-scale persecution, including widespread propaganda, torture, illegal imprisonment, forced labour, and psychiatric abuses.
---
So This group is Pro-Human Rights. We're just trying to destroy the false image made of the Dalai Lama, the Panchen Lama, The Tibetan Monks in China and the Tibetan people in Exile by the Chinese Goverment..
Hence the Title: Chinese Propaganda Awareness
With the picture of H.H (and his famous baby laugh) as a group picture.
--------------------------
It is time to wake up. There are too many horrors commited by the Government to be ignored. Please do not be fooled. So many campaigns against Chinese Government have emerged and we are not doing it for pure fun. Over 1000 campaigns, Mostly independant ones but also Free Tibet campaigns, have confirmed that the Chinese Government is NOT telling the truth.. Lies are being widespread in an unbelievably good way that Most Chinese are convinced that nothing is wrong with their government.. Thousands and thousands of videos all over the web are proving the horrors commited by the Chinese government.. And these videos are now being answered with Chinese Propaganda on the original territory of Tibet and the false claim that H.H Tenzin Gyatso The XIVth Dalai Lama is lying and wants to separate Tibet.. You can see this in Chinese groups on Facebook alone..
I Will personally prepare a small website with links to videos, witnesses and articles to try and destroy the false certainty that many Chinese and Chinese Government supporters are having. So many horrors, that I remain incapable on telling everything... You are being lied to. We are not lying to you because we have nothing to gain. We want human rights to be more important than superficial reasons like "Honour", "Pride" and economical reasons. TIBET, BURMA, DARFUR, NORTH KOREA, FUR TRADE etc... Do not mistake cultural pride with corrupted government. Chinese Culture is without a doubt great and beautiful but Chinese Government is not.
We will stay peaceful in respect to The Dalai Lama's wishes but we will not tolerate that which must not be ignored. So many Civilians, ordinary monks and High Monks Kidnapped, So many in Jail, So many tortured in an inhuman way and so Many dead.
This is not a joke, this is not a game.. This is dead serious.. It doesn't matter what nationality, religion or race you are.. Please be aware and help us raise Awareness. It is a must that the Chinese Government accepts reality. The Olympics are supposed to be about uniting the world under one sporting event.. We are tolerant enough to accept that a Country that does not deserve to host the Olympics at all host it in respect to the Dalai Lama's wishes.
We are not against boycotting the Olympics and we do not want to support it either. We are Pro-Human Rights (And Animal Rights concerning the disgusting fur trade). Those who are boycotting the olympics are free to do so and those who are not are equally free.
Please be aware. Think independantly from Propagandas..
This is the 21st Century.. Propagandas have never endured in the past and are less likely to endure today. We want autonomy in Tibet, we don't care about Independance. We want the high monks to be released to their monasteries. We want the real Panchen Lama and other political prisoners to be freed.. We want Tibetan Buddhists and other religious to be able to practice their religion in complete freedom. We want China to stop being involved in countless horrible actions that leaves the lips of so many Tibetans and supporters speachless.. So many protests are happening and they will become more and more every day.. The World will hear our voice and the World will wake up. I repeat this is the 21st century, Actions that are worth the value of a Hitler, a Nero or a Stalin are not welcomed in our world that is becoming wiser every day.
It's true that we are especially trying to destroy the fake image of The Dalai Lama made by the Chinese Government because we believe that it will raise more Awareness which could help the Tibetan Cause.

"We give up our life and property in order for the government to 'maintain secrecy,' ordinary citizens become targets of punishment, the news media is surgically operated on, and the people's 'right to know' is treated like a joke. And the government just goes on in its own way, making mistake after mistake. This is the greatest hidden danger of China's stability work."
- Shi Tao, Appellate Brief (June 2005)

I Want to please ask all supporters of the Tibetan Cause to provide us with links and videos to try and convince our Chinese friends that their government is corrupted. Make Sure that the links and videos are well supported with good evidence to avoid being called "Western Propaganda" ourselves.

Twelve Suggestions For Dealing With The Tibetan Situation, By Some Chinese Intellectuals:
Not all Chinese swallow Beijing's nationalistic propaganda. The repression has been openly criticized, by the opposition party in Taiwan and by NGOs in HK, and now by those inside China. A Tibetan contact has just translated the following 12 point petition by artists, writers, journalists and others inside China.
March 22, 2008
Twelve Suggestions for Dealing with the Tibetan Situation by Some Chinese Intellectuals
1. At present the one-sided propaganda of the official Chinese media is having the effect of stirring up inter-ethnic animosity and aggravating an already tense situation. This is extremely detrimental to the long-term goal of safeguarding national unity. We call for such propaganda to be stopped.
2. We support the Dalai Lama¹s appeal for peace, and hope that the ethnic conflict can be dealt with according to the principles of goodwill, peace, and non-violence. We condemn any violent act against innocent people, strongly urge the Chinese government to stop the violent suppression, and appeal to the Tibetan people likewise not to engage in violent activities.
3. The Chinese government claims that ³there is sufficient evidence to prove this incident was organized, premeditated, and meticulously orchestrated by the Dalai clique." We hope that the government will show proof of this. In order to change the international community¹s negative view and distrustful attitude, we also suggest that the government invite the United Nation¹s Commission on Human Rights to carry out an independent investigation of the evidence, the course of the incident, the number of casualties, etc.
4. In our opinion, such Cultural-Revolution-like language as ³the Dalai Lama is a jackal in Buddhist monk¹s robes and an evil spirit with a human face and the heart of a beast ² used by the Chinese Communist Party leadership in the Tibet Autonomous Region is of no help in easing the situation, nor is it beneficial to the Chinese government¹s image. As the Chinese government is committed to integrating into the international community, we maintain that it should display a style of governing that conforms to the standards of modern civilization.
5. We note that on the very day when the violence erupted in Lhasa (March 14), the leaders of the Tibet Autonomous Region declared that ³there is sufficient evidence to prove this incident was organized, premeditated, and meticulously orchestrated by the Dalai clique.² This shows that the authorities in Tibet knew in advance that the riot would occur, yet did nothing effective to prevent the incident from happening or escalating. If there was a dereliction of duty, a serious investigation must be carried out to determine this and deal with it accordingly.
6. If in the end it cannot be proved that this was an organized, premeditated, and meticulously orchestrated event but was instead a ³popular revolt² triggered by events, then the authorities should pursue those responsible for inciting the popular revolt and concocting false information to deceive the Central Government and the people; they should also seriously reflect on what can be learned from this event so as to avoid taking the same course in the future.
7. We strongly demand that the authorities not subject every Tibetan to political investigation or revenge. The trials of those who have been arrested must be carried out according to judicial procedures that are open, just, and transparent so as to ensure that all parties are satisfied.
8. We urge the Chinese government to allow credible national and international media to go into Tibetan areas to conduct independent interviews and news reports. In our view, the current news blockade cannot gain credit with the Chinese people or the international community, and is harmful to the credibility of the Chinese government. If the government grasps the true situation, it need not fear challenges. Only by adopting an open attitude can we turn around the international community¹s distrust of our government.
9. We appeal to the Chinese people and overseas Chinese to be calm and tolerant, and to reflect deeply on what is happening. Adopting a posture of aggressive nationalism will only invite antipathy from the international community and harm China¹s international image.
10. The disturbances in Tibet in the 1980s were limited to Lhasa, whereas this time they have spread to many Tibetan areas. This deterioration indicates that there are serious mistakes in the work that has been done with regard to Tibet. The relevant government departments must conscientiously reflect upon this matter, examine their failures, and fundamentally change the failed nationality policies.
11. In order to prevent similar incidents from happening in future, the government must abide by the freedom of religious belief and the freedom of speech explicitly enshrined in the Chinese Constitution, thereby allowing the Tibetan people fully to express their grievances and hopes, and permitting citizens of all nationalities freely to criticize and make suggestions regarding the government¹s nationality policies.
12. We hold that we must eliminate animosity and bring about national reconciliation, not continue to increase divisions between nationalities. A country that wishes to avoid the partition of its territory must first avoid divisions among its nationalities. Therefore, we appeal to the leaders of our country to hold direct dialogue with the Dalai Lama. We hope that the Chinese and Tibetan people will do away with the misunderstandings between them, develop their interactions with each other, and achieve unity. Government departments as much as popular organizations and religious figures should make great efforts toward this goal.

Millions of people turn to the Dalai Lama for inspiration, but to whom does he turn? He and his people have struggled all their lives with the audacity of hopelessness. Oppression and exile are their daily bread. Yet the Dalai Lama, 72, remains calm in the face of cruelty. What does he think of the human race? "We are the superior species on Earth but also the biggest troublemakers," he once told me.
China's rulers aren't like the British masters of colonial India, and the Dalai Lama's Gandhiesque nonviolent struggle won't give them twinges of conscience, leading to Tibet's freedom. If anything, Beijing has grown more ruthless in suppressing Tibetan aspirations, as we've seen this Olympic year. And yet he has found a way to think kindly of those who oppress his people and vilify his name. I found him unwilling to show any harshness. He said to me, "I don't dislike the Chinese, only their actions."
To me, the most mystical thing about him is also the most ordinary: the Dalai Lama is happy. He's happy in the midst of chaos and turmoil. The most inspiring thing he ever told me was to ignore all organized faiths and keep to the road of higher consciousness. "Without relying on religion, we look to common sense, common experience and the findings of science for understanding," he said. I do the same thing, but I still marvel at this model of calm and compassion. I'm sure neuroscientists would love to know what's going on inside that brain.
To whom, then, does the Dalai Lama turn for inspiration? It's not a person but a place—beyond I and thou, beyond self and nonself. The wonder isn't that such a place can be found. The wonder is that one man makes it look so easy.
"Deepak Chopra"

CHINESE On Our Side:
■ Wang Lixiong: Chinese Writer and Intellectual,
Author of "Celestial Funeral: The Destiny Of Tibet" and "Discussions With The Dalai Lama".. He met several times with H.H and supports the Tibetan cause including the release of Tenzin Delek Rinpoche, an important Tibetan Lama of the region of Litang who was unfairly accused of bomb attack. December 13, 2002, Wang Lixiong and 24 other Chinese intellectuals signed a petition that requested independent lawyers in the trial in appeal of Tenzin Delek Rinpoche.
He is also known for saying that "H.H The Dalai Lama is the key to the solution of Tibet"
■ Hu Jia: activist and dissident in the People's Republic of China. His work has focused on the Chinese democracy movement, Chinese environmentalist movement, and HIV/AIDS in China. In addition to being an auxiliary member of the team to save the endangered Tibetan antelope, Hu Jia has been involved with AIDS advocacy as the executive director of the Beijing Aizhixing Institute of Health Education and as one of the founders of the non-governmental organization Loving Source. He is also a support of the Tibetan cause.
He was given 3 1/2 years in jail April 3, 2008. Hu pleaded not guilty on charges of "inciting subversion of state power" at his trial in March 2008.
■ Wan Yanhai: The best-known AIDS activist in China.
His "frank and aggressive" approach toward AIDS have led to frequent run-ins with authorities and landed him in detention three times in the past 12 years. Wan, 43, is the director of the country's foremost AIDS-awareness group, the Beijing-based Aizhixing Institute of Health Education. After his release in November 27 2006 from his most recent detention on November 24 - this time a three-day stopover prompted by his efforts to organize a public forum on HIV/AIDS to coincide with World AIDS Day - Wan accused Chinese leaders of falling "asleep" as the virus spreads. He was forced to cancel his "Blood Safety, AIDS and Legal Human Rights Workshop"
(We have no information concerning his opinion on Tibet but his Pro-Human Rights works are enough to be respected)
■ Yang Chunlin: A human rights activist in China.
Yang has published numerous articles on human rights and land rights. In 2007, he helped organise a petition entitled, "We want human rights, not the Olympics." The petition reportedly collected over 10 000 signatures. Yang was arrested in July 2007 and charged with "inciting subversion of state power". Yang was sentenced to five years in prison on 24 March 2008. He maintained his innocence throughout the trial. During and after the hearing at which he was sentenced, Yang was reportedly beaten with an electric rod on at least two occasions.
■ Gao Zhisheng: is a Chinese army veteran, self-taught lawyer, and Christian whose law practice has been suspended by the Chinese authorities. Gao is director, founder, and star litigator of the Beijing-based Shengzhi Law Office. The office, because it is one few Chinese law firms involved with human rights issues, has been suspended by the Chinese authorities for one year. His committed involvement with such cases is strongly bound with the emphasis of his Christian identity on morality and compassion. In 2001, he was recognised by China’s Ministry of Justice as "one of the country’s 10 best lawyers". In 2004, he won a case for a Falun Gong practitioner who was illegally persecuted, and has been under pressure ever since. Gao and his family's ordeal started when his conscience led him to start investigating the persecution of Falun Gong and wrote three open letters to the top Chinese officials. Amnesty International says, "The closure comes shortly after the firm’s director sent an open letter to the Chinese President Hu Jintao and Premier Wen Jiabao urging them to end the “barbaric” persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. It is believed that the closure of the firm is closely linked with this letter. [...] Amnesty International is concerned that this suspension will severely undercut the work of human rights activists in the country." At least eight police officers shadow him and his family. In his open letters, he criticised the communist party for crimes against human rights, particularly those rights that are written into Chinese laws but not followed.

No good reasons could be found to ban such books.
This is serious, Lies can not keep on enduring if we wish to live in an open minded and free world.
