Los Angeles has not had an NFL team in almost 15 years. Many proposals have come and gone but the "Los Angeles Stadium" is the most viable to date:
-The project is much more than a NFL stadium/training facility - it will be a Southern California attraction on par with Disneyland, Universal City Walk and Studios, Staples Center and L.A. Live.
-In addition to being a state-of-the-art and environmentally-friendly 75,000 seat stadium and training facility, the site will host a world class entertainment and tourist destination with restaurants and retail open year-round.
-It's centrally located in the LA metro market with nearly 12 million people living within 30 miles away. It's close to a number of highways and already has a Metrolink stop on the site.
-The topography of the site allows them to construct the stadium into a hillside - dramatically reducing the environmental impact, construction time, materials and cost.
-The proposed costs run at approx $800 million (much less than other current stadium construction projects). The stadium will be constructed with private funds (NO TAXPAYER DOLLARS).
