How Do I Get Registered?
If you are at home for the election, then simply mail-in your registration or register on-line; or you can go to your post office, department of motor vehicle office, or county polling office, and register in person. Do I Have to Register By A Certain Date?
To vote in the Statewide Special Election on May 19th, your registration must be post marked no later than May 4, 2009.
But What If I'm Away From Home?
On Election Day, a lot of students find themselves at college or doing study abroad programs in another country. With that said, there’s no reason why you still can’t participate in the May 19th election. Alameda County can help you get a ballot in your home away from home.

Alameda County needs poll workers for the May 19, 2009, Special Election. Poll Workers are the backbone of our election system. It’s an enjoyable and rewarding way to be part of our free democratic process. Contribute to your community by helping run an election.
• Help safeguard our election process.
• We'll provide a training class and a stipend.
• You'll earn between $95 and $180 for the day.
