Amnesty International is a worldwide voluntary movement of people who campaign for human rights. We are independent of any government, political ideology, economic interest or religion.

Our vision is of a world in which every person enjoys all of the human rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international human rights standards.

As an affiliated group of the UK Section of Amnesty (AIUK), we support the worldwide organisation through:

* Monthly meetings with speakers, campaign updates, workshops and other activities;
* Campaigning, letter writing, and raising the profile of human rights and the work of Amnesty;
* Fundraising - past events have included our annual sponsored walk, street collections, concerts, stalls and sales of cards and t-shirts.
